History[edit]
Origins[edit]
Nothing is known about the past of The Metallicon. On 3058 the unit was assigned to defend Tall Trees under contract from the Saiph Triumvirate.[1]
Nothing is known of the unit's destiny, but Tall Trees fell to the Word of Blake Protectorate after the Chaos March dissolution and if the unit was still there when Tall Trees fell they either joined the Word or died.[citation needed]
IlClan Era[edit]
The Metallicon, then a mercenary company, was hired by the reborn Tamar Pact about 3151. On May of that year, they were sent to the planet Blair Atholl as reinforcements for a battalion of the 2nd Tamar Jaegers to take the planet. When Kommandant Oskar Price, leading the Jaegers, found an unexpected resistance from the Clan Jade Falcon Remnants garrison, a stalemate followed. A few weeks after both sides thrusted and parried, the Metallicon had failed to raid the Falcons' supplies. Price assembled his Jaegers outside Atholl City to launch another assault, keeping the Metallicon on reserve. The Jaegers fell into a carefully laiden trap. Only the Metallicons and the Jaegers' battle armor detachment's arrival saved the bulk of the Jaegers, halting the Falcons' advance, allowing the Pact forces to retreat and regroup.[2]
