Ilse Martinez was a DropShip Captain from the Free Worlds League. She was described as an attractive, black-maned woman.[1]
She served as XO for Renfred Tor's JumpShip Invidious and as Captain of the Phobos, an aging Trojan- class dropship, till it was upgraded to a Union-class. Martinez and her ship served as part of the Transport Division for the Gray Death Legion.
History[edit]
By 3020 Martinez would be the first officer of the Merchant-class JumpShip Invidious[1] and Captain of the Trojan-class DropShip the Phobos. Martinez was loud and brassy volunteering to ferry the Gray Death Legion, past the Kurita blockade of Verthandi. She was captain and no one, including Grayson could question her.[1] Her insistence on joining the Verthandi operation would damage her Dropship, and land away from their rendezvouse point. Through much of her work, alongside Davis McCall, would turn her spaceship into a seafaring vessel. Then sail the 500 miles where they needed to be. [2]
It is unknown when, but sometime during the 3026 Verthandi contract and before 3028 the Phobos was upgraded from a Trojan-class to a Union-class DropShip.
